1st Monthsary as Wifey & Hubster

Beamer's gift is a Kathy van Zeeland babe boots!
It has been a month since we got married. I am still smitten with the Beamer. Whoa!

Okay, so we decided to celebrate our Month-sary having dinner with the Magee's, Beamer's childhood friend from Long Island.

White wine from Sakonnet with Faith. By 7:30pm we went to Cheesecake Factory for dessert.
Fatboy had a bowl of Vanilla Ice Cream!
I had Strawberry Creamsicle (its an alcoholic drink) and Cranberry for Fatboy!

Beamer wanted to have a main dish when I already have 2 stuffed mushrooms so I agreed to share and he asked me if  wanted the Pesto Prawns and I agreed. Only to realize that he ordered 2 main dish.

Oh well! Cheesecake Factory will be missed!

The Office/Guestroom

My life drastically changed from Sex & the City to Desperate Housewives. Don't get me wrong, I love being a wifey to my hubster. Though I feel that I still have much to learn in being a good wifey because I don't like to do laundry and I hate chaos. Sometimes I hate doing the dishes. Sometimes I don't want to cook. Sometimes I want to stare at NOTHING-ness!

And sometimes, I have my lucid intervals. Below is our guestroom which we call the office. I organized it to have all our papers and documents. I still did not segregate documents and file but hey, its a good start!
Beamer gave me a vintage mini-drawer where I put my cookbooks and some of my favorite books.
A twin bed for our guest. The Pink flower frame is a gift from my mother. I place an Apple-Scent Candle which really makes me feel happy whenever I go back inside this room.
This is Beamer's table which I am using for now during my blogging moments.
I love the rug.

I like the room because it is cozy. Our theme is Modern-Vintage-Minimalist. I want the room to be functional and I think I did a good job. We have a small closet in this room where I hang his office clothes to wear the whole week. That is after I have ironed it.

I am a BAD wifey

I woke up thinking how I have been procrastinating as a wifey. I cook but I do not cook good food. I help him with his clothes for work but I do not do laundry and I do not iron. I clean house but I do not scrub every tiles and I do not wax the floor.

The idea of being a wife just struck me. It felt like we were playing house. Now I woke up thinking how lazy I am not feeding my hubster a good meal. I felt bad because I married a good man and I am selfish and inconsiderate beeotch not to think of him when he leaves the house with a crumpled shirt. I felt bad when he did not want to eat the pork mushroom with potatoes that I made for him last night.

I am a bad wifey!

But I have my lucid intervals and today I promise to love my hubster a little bit more than I already do. I promise to be more of a wifey.

And the time to start is NOW!

I Am With A Project

My mother has a cute house. I told her that I will occupy her attic since I need a place to crash for vacay and also I have gazillion stuff in there. My wide array of books are hidden in her attic.

Okay. So she agreed and I had it tiled like this but the wall paint is disgusting. I will have it repainted and this photo is making sense.

I Heart Kate Moss

Unbeknownst to everyone I am a Ginormous fan of Kate Moss. She is my fashion goddess. While my soul sister adores Tyra Banks during the 90's, I was loving Kate Moss.

The reason why I like her is because she doesn't try too hard. It just comes naturally!

The Glamorous USA

I stepped my foot in the glamorous New York Nov. 23, 2010. I have to be totally honest that I was not in deep awe. I visualize something more vivid and greener but hey, this is the life I choose and I have to embrace it.

I woke up today when Beamer kissed me before he left for work. I love the man. I love him with all my heart and I embrace his flaws and attest that I will stand by him no matter what happens.

December 28, 2010 we were married at the Fall River City Hall. It was a tedious and strenuous day.

Rewind:
Dec. 24 at 5am, we left for New Jersey to celebrate Noche Buena with my family. During that day, my sister and I went to Toys R Us to look for gifts with my Mom and Aunt while Beamer was taking a nap. Afterwards we went home to fetch him and we went to the Filipino store which is called Phil-Am to buy some spices and condiments. Then we went to Walmart & Marshalls to look for other gifts. I started wrapping gifts while my father and Beamer went to his friend's house for drinks. I got hammered during that night while my sister stayed home and opted to sleep which was probably a better idea.

Dec. 25 at 8am, my sister went to Newark for a flight to Cincinnati to fetch my nephew for my wedding. We woke up (hangovered) and was bound for New York to celebrate Christmas with my in-laws. We checked-in at the Holiday Inn. The receptionist was a novice. He was a boy who was not courteous at all and lost Beamer's credit card. I wondered how on earth you can lose a credit card on such a small hotel with a minimal amount of paper stocked infront of him. I know, I know...I was not bitchy at all and I told him to check the CCTV instead to save time. After an hour in the room, I called again and still he did not find it and I asked if he already found it to which he replied negatively. I again, told him to check the CCTV and asked if its working because clearly we do not have time for BS. To cut a long story short after another hour while bound for my in-laws house, he found the credit card.

I love Beamer's family. You can feel the love in that household. The grandkids are sweet and really really pretty and the twins are really really cute. Beamer and I received tons of gifts from them. I specifically love the apron my Mother-in-law gave.
We went back to the hotel and then news about a blizzard which I ignored thinking that I am a lucky person and I usually get what I want.

Dec. 26 at 6am, we went back to the in-laws for breakfast and stayed there for an hour. Then left at 7am to catch the ferry to New England. We were stranded at the ferry station, car overheated, road rage, annoyance and starvation were experienced during that drive on what should have been a 4 hour drive from NY to Mass. and instead we had 10 hours.

I have never prayed to the unseen mover of all for a good weather on my wedding way, it was my fault. I have never thought that a BLIZZARD could actually happen on that day but it did.

My Soul sister and her family traveled 2 days just to attend my wedding. They left Toronto 26th early morning and they arrived 27th late night. The kids were exhausted.

My parents and Godfather almost didn't make it for fear that the road will be too dangerous but they still managed to arrived same time as Sissy.

My lil' Sister though was unfortunate enough to travel from the NJ on the 25th to Ohio and flight was cancelled on the 26th. She flew from Ohio to Minneapolis thinking that it would be a better route on the 27th but it was in vain. She took the Plane to Rochester, NY and while we are having the wedding reception Beamer and I were also booking Greyhound bus for her from Rochester to Newark. But again, the circumstance hindered her and my nephew to be in our wedding. The bus drove from Rochester to Syracuse and then there was no available bus so they took an 800$ mini-van and shared it with other passengers. They arrived in NY in the morning (after my wedding) and decided to rent a car to have a 4 hour drive from NY to Massachusetts. Damn it! I love my Sister! She tried very hard and Beamer was awed by how strong-willed she was. When they arrived she slept for a couple of hours and then we went to Marshalls to bond while shopping. She told the story that in the airport she was crying and my nephew held her face and said: Its okay Mommy, we can do it!

I am just so happy that my soul sister, my parents and my sister tried so hard to go to the wedding even to the extent of defying forces of nature. By now Beamer realized that I will do the same for them as well.

There are gazillions things to do still but first let me say how much my life has changed since I arrived here in US. I experienced snow and blizzard, be married and become a  housewife. I gained a new family who surely loves Beamer so much and met new friends. I am in deep awe and gratitude to my soul sister and her family, my parents and Godfather who helped me during the wedding and a lot of love for my sister and fatboy for trying so hard to see me.

I love you guys! Beamer and I will always be grateful and appreciative. You ROCK my world!

Welcome To The Super-bia

My gal pal Patricia made this for me. I specifically like the shoes. I never had a Maryjane ever. I have no recollection of owning one. But I sure would like to have one in the near future.

Today I would like to welcome you once again in my life. Thank you for being a part of my life in Dubai. I enjoyed Dubai and the next visit I sure will go to the Observatory Deck of the Burj Khalifa and visit the 7 Emirates. Don't worry, I will surely include you in that journey.

For now, living in the Suburbs must be lived to the fullest.
